Privacy Policy
Effective October 22, 2026
jGallery accesses media on your device so you can browse, organize and play it. The ad-supported app also uses Google advertising services, which process device and advertising information separately from your media library.
1. Who this policy covers
This policy covers the jGallery Android app (package com.jgallery.app), provided under the Canuuu.Tech brand, and this informational website. References to “we” mean the developer of jGallery.
Website: jgallery.app
Privacy contact: support@jgallery.app
2. Media and information accessed on your device
With your permission, jGallery accesses photos, videos, audio, albums, folders and storage locations, including SD cards or folders you approve. It processes media contents and metadata such as file names, paths, sizes, dates, types and embedded information to display, play, search, sort and organize your collection, create thumbnails and identify duplicates. Photo metadata can include embedded location information; this does not require continuous tracking of your location.
The app stores library indexes, thumbnails, preferences, favorites and other organization information locally. Thumbnail caches can also be stored on removable storage if you choose that option. Your media library is not automatically uploaded to a jGallery cloud library.
When you choose to share media or diagnostic exports, Android passes the selected content to the app or recipient you choose. Their privacy practices apply to the information you send.
3. Permissions and device security
Android media and storage permissions support browsing and managing your files. Notifications, foreground services and related background permissions support ongoing tasks and playback. Wallpaper access supports setting media as wallpaper. You can change permissions in Android Settings; restricting access can limit related features.
If you enable biometric app unlocking, Android performs authentication. jGallery receives the authentication result, not your fingerprint or face template. Local data is protected through Android’s application storage controls. These controls do not mean that all original media or SD card contents are encrypted by jGallery.
4. Google advertising and consent
The ad-supported app integrates Google’s Mobile Ads SDK and User Messaging Platform. Google’s advertising services collect and share IP addresses (which can indicate approximate location), app and ad interactions, performance and diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers such as the advertising ID and app set ID. These data support advertising, measurement, analytics and fraud prevention. Identifiers available to Google depend on your device, settings and consent choices.
Advertising data is transmitted using TLS encryption. The app requests advertising consent information and presents consent forms when required. Where available, open Settings → Ad privacy in jGallery to review choices. You can also manage your advertising ID in Android Settings. Choosing limited or non-personalized advertising does not necessarily stop all advertising-related processing.
Read Google’s Privacy Policy, how Google uses information from partner apps, and Google’s Mobile Ads data disclosures. jGallery does not send your photos, videos or audio files to Google’s advertising services as advertising content.
5. Diagnostics and support
jGallery keeps bounded, rotating local diagnostic logs to investigate performance and errors. These can contain device and Android version details, timings, memory usage, errors and information about operations or file references. Diagnostic exports can contain sensitive file information. Logs are shared through Android’s share flow when you choose to export them; inspect the recipient before sending.
If you contact support, we receive the contact details, message and attachments you choose to provide. Support information is used to answer your request and investigate the issue. Do not include private media unless it is necessary for your request.
The optional bug-report form sends only the message and reply email you enter to support@jgallery.app. It uses a session cookie for form security and temporarily keeps a hashed network address to limit spam. Hosting providers also process ordinary server logs. No media or device diagnostics are attached automatically.
6. Purchases and accounts
jGallery does not require a separate jGallery account for media browsing. When Google Play Pro purchases are available, Google handles checkout, payment information and subscription management. We do not receive your card number. The app sends a Google Play purchase token to our purchase-verification service so it can check subscription status with Google and enable the appropriate features. Verification processes the purchase token, app and product identifiers, subscription status and expiration information. Normal network requests also expose an IP address to the hosting service. This verification does not upload your media library.
You can manage or cancel a subscription through Google Play. Google handles purchase records under its privacy policy. Publishing this policy does not mean purchases or the public beta are already available.
7. Retention and deletion
Media files remain in their storage locations until you delete or move them. Clearing jGallery app storage or uninstalling removes its internal app data, but does not generally remove original media, exported files, or caches stored outside its internal storage. Review removable storage separately. Locally retained diagnostic logs rotate as their size limit is reached.
To remove locally stored settings and library information, use Android Settings → Apps → jGallery → Storage → Clear storage, or uninstall the app. Back up anything you want to keep first. To stop future media access, revoke permissions. Use Android’s file tools to review and remove exported files and external caches you no longer need.
Google controls retention of advertising data under its own policies. We retain support correspondence as needed to respond to requests, resolve issues and meet applicable legal obligations. Contact support@jgallery.app to request access, correction or deletion of information you have supplied to us. We may need to verify a request and retain information where required by law. There is no separate jGallery account to delete.
8. This website
This static website includes no advertising scripts, analytics scripts, tracking cookies or account forms. It is served separately from our private dashboard application. The hosting provider may process normal request information, such as IP address, browser information, requested pages and access times, to deliver and secure the site. The website is hosted by Namecheap. Our separate purchase-verification service is hosted on OVHcloud infrastructure managed by Canuuu.Tech. Operational information may be processed to deliver and secure the service; it is not used on this website for advertising profiles. Contact us with questions or deletion requests relating to developer-held information.
9. Children and changes
This policy does not change the app’s target audience or content rating. Please consult the Google Play listing for the app’s audience and content rating. If you believe a child has supplied personal information to the developer, use the privacy contact to request assistance.
We will update this page when data practices change and identify the effective date of the published version. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
